The enclosed flat-nose or half-moon trailer is the basic model of trailers. Popular belief is that it is less aerodynamic than the model with a V-nose. This is true, however, it is very unrepresentative in terms of energy savings, especially if your travels with your trailer do not represent long distances. A 12-foot-long trailer, for example, will have a measurement of 12' 6" at the center of the half-moon. The radial front gives an additional 6" at the center.
